Two things he’s not saying: when cupping your hands, make sure not only do your thumbs meet, but the bottom of your palms meet too. This will help you open your arms up and rotate the inside of your arms towards the sky. Watch his arms rotating in towards each other. To get that flat platform you must tighten and twist your arms point your elbows to the ground.
