The University of Hawai’i men’s Volleyball team pulled off one of the biggest upsets of the 2011 collegiate season with a thrilling five-set win over top-ranked USC, Friday night in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation match at the Stan Sheriff Center. Down 9-3 in the decisive set, Nebraska pulled off a stunning comeback, taking nine straight points. Tied at 13, a Washington hitting error set up match point for Nebraska. A service ace from Jordan Larson sealed the match and the comeback. Nebraska advanced to the national semifinals in Omaha, Nebraska, where they would lose in five sets to eventual NCAA Champion Penn State.
