The national women’s Volleyball team departed for Japan today two weeks ahead of the world championships. Despite their perennial under-achievers tag in the world championships, the team hopes the two-week preparations will enable them to beat Brazil in their opening game. The team received the national flag from the prime minister and 200,000 shillings send off token. The team is scheduled to play 6 international friendly prior to their opening tie against Brazil. David lungaho’s charges will also play Italy and Puerto Rico in what is termed as the group of death.

This is the Beach Volleyball Gold Medal Match between Ty Loomis (USA) & Hans Stolfus(USA) vs Emanuel Rego (BRA) & Ricardo Santos (BRA).
Emanuel & Ricardo were the defending Olympic Gold Medalist & were currently the #1 team in the World for 6 years straight. The Gold Medal Match was in Copacabana, Brazil, in Copacabana Arena. It was their home country, their home stadium, in front of 7,500 chanting, dancing, heckling, screaming fans that were all cheering for Brazil in the 2nd largest International Olympic Format Event.
This was an awesome tournament in Brazil&, all the fans were amazing & we were stoked to be apart of this.
