I live in Venezuela, and my husband has been transferred to Texas. We are waiting for more information but they told us we are going to live in Fort Bend County. I was house searching, but if i put fort bend county it says there are no results. Can someone explain to me is that like a city, or where is the best part to live there. Im not from the States so i don’t understand. Also i know someone how’s kids are studying at Seven Lakes High School, is it near fort ben county??? As you may see im completely lost!!! Also is it close to Houston??? how many hours?

Well fortbend county is not the city.Find out if its sugarland Tx where you will be located if it is then you are ok because that is a nice area . And yes this city is souroundng of Houston tx not far at all .I have worked in the Sugarland area for many years and Fortbend county is said to have the best schools education wise. Good Luck!! Much of the city of Katy is in Ft Bend County, including Cinco Ranch. That is a really nice area, and Katy is a suburb of Houston. Katy to downtown Houston is about 30 min in light traffic. Ft Bend County also has a lot of rural country.

I think the best part of Ft. Bend County is Sugar Land. Yes, Seven Lakes High School is in unincorporated Ft. Bend County. Ft. Bend County borders the City of Houston. There are even parts of Houston that are in Ft. Bend County.
