Alright, my mom and private lesson teacher are making me go to Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp this summer.
I do not want to go.
I want to know what it’s like there, and if it’s like what band camps are brought out to be.
Is there sex? Is there alcohol? Are there drugs?
I do not want to associate myself with any of that.
I need to know fast before my mom pays the remaining balance of my tuition.
Please don’t give me bull poop answers like all the reviews were.
I want to know what it’s REALLY like there.
Please answer somebody. ):

If you’d like to know:
I’m going for clarinet/bass clarinet.
My unit assignment is Sleepy Hollow.
My cabin assignment is Sibelius.
I’m going to Session II(July 13-24, 2011)
I was given a $475 scholarship.
My mom has paid the $200 deposit included in the $1108 tuition.
I have played clarinet for seven years.
I’m good at Bb clarinet, but I have a better sound out of bass clarinet.
I’ll probably be placed in their Wind Ensemble or Orchestra wind section.
I’ll be a senior in high school next year.
I go to The School for Creative and Performing Arts in Cincinnati.

Like I said.. Please answer. ):

Well, straight up, I should tell you that I’ve never gone myself. BUT I am a huge music geek and I have close friends who have gone many time. First of all,it’s not at ALL like it’s depicted Secret Life Of The American Teenager. Nobody comes home pregnant from band camp. It’s mostly music-and-arts focused people who go there, and they go to spend the summer working on their art, not impregnating girls. It’s good that you don’t want to get involved in drugs, alcohol, etc., but I assure you that there won’t be any there anyways. I’ve never been to Blue Lake but I’ve gone to similar summer camps, and it’s a ton of fun. Everyone is very supportive and focused, but they still have lots of fun at the same time. There’s campfire sessions and shows and all sorts of great things.

Don Bosco Technical College of the High School Department in 2nd year takes a trip at the Seven Lakes of San Pablo in Laguna. But they only crossed 5 out of 7 because the two is far from their origin. We would like to thank Lakbay Kalikasan for guiding and helping us and also being with our school DBTC.

Outbound is different from Field Trip. Because OUTBOUND is an educational trip outside the campus and you can learn and explore more of the things you have never seen. Compare FIELD TRIP is just letting the students have fun.

I am the inside of my video. This is the first time I experience a extreme adventure. We trecked going up but because of too much mud and its getting deeper and the rain was so strong. It was so slippery so what I did was I crossed the other road which was not that easy but the mud was more deeper. One small step can lead you remove your foot from wearing shoes. But all in all its a fun experience and I will never forget this. If you are looking for better guys who are smarts and expert in adventure, choose LAKBAY KALIKASAN

This video shows only pictures and videos of our experience. As the class where I belong (student) of 2-KOWALSKI last March 5, 2011. Rafting, Trecking, Swimming and more…

It’s based on a life experience (with some fantasy) since I’m fourteen, I sort of tried to think about what I’d look like in three years. I’m writing about my senior year in high school and a romance with an old friend that I haven’t seen since we were ten.

Macy was a normal seventeen year old senior in high school. She had her four best friends, seniors Nicole, Kat, and Cameron, and junior Wes. For seven years she has daydreamed about what it would be like to fall in love with the boy she knew at ten. They were best friends and haven’t talked since sixth grade. Macy had moved away from him during the summer and they met one more time during the school year the next year. Then, a boy who looks familiar moves to town. It’s her old friend Vince. They rekindle their friendship and become close once again, spending every day together, but instead of hanging upside down on monkey bars or scootering down the street, they’re hanging out at the lake or playing tennis or soccer. Over time, they start to fall in love, but when a friend’s brother starts to make a move on Macy, will it threaten the budding romance Macy has been dreaming about for seven years?

Author’s note:
You know, anyone criticizing this (meanly I mean) is basically criticizing my life. Half of this is based on my actual experiences! Falling in love with my best friend from fifth grade, having four best friends (although I’m a freshmen with "Nicole, Kat, and Cameron" (Names have been changed) and "Wes" is an eighth grader. I aged all of us to make it better. But yeah, "Vince" is a guy I fell for when I was ten and we were extremely close. I just made it into a romance. And I did date a friend’s brother! Macy is just one of my favorite names and it starts with Ma, (Like my name) Those are things we did together and I have been dreaming about a relationship with him since I was ten!
The climax is a surprise. Action, romance, and injury!

I myself am currently in this situation, so I can relate (infatuated with long lost best friend), but I think the idea has been used so much its been pretty much bludgeoned to death. Throwing in some fantasy might help somewhat with the cliche problem, but you’re going to have to work really hard not to have your story thrown in with the rest of the stories with the SAME EXACT PLOTLINE.

I wish you luck with this project, my friend.

Anyone who deal’s with this daily know’s how dangerous it is to try to make a left turn out of the school.

Ask your town engineer and/or police chief if the intersection has ever been studied..

If it has, find out the last time it was and request a new study.

If it has not, make your argument to the engineer and the town council why a study is warranted.

A traffic light will only be installed if the intersection meets at least one of these criteria:

*Excessive volume in eight- and four-hour periods.

*Rush-hour congestion.

*Pedestrian delays.

*School crossing hazards.

*Traffic flow problems.

*History of collisions.

Once the study is completed, and if the intersection meets one of these criteria, a request can be made by the town to the state Department of Transportation, which will make the final decision.

I’m sorry to say this as I don’t mean to offend you but it is very, very, VERY cliche and stereotyped. It’s so typical that it’s cheasy. I mean, even the very name Macy makes it sound that way. Rhymes with Spacey too much. It also reminds me of twilight. Let me guess? Vince turns out to be a vampire, werewolf, or fallen angel, right? Well, I don’t mean to be a party pooper as I have come up with some crap stories too (most of them are in fact) but I suggest you give this a secon thought. You know what really helps story-writing?

Reading. Read as many novels as you can get your hands on. Since you like romance it seems, I reccomend reading romance novels like Princess Diaries or something. Those are similar to what you’d want to write about. At least, that’s what my sisters said. Anyhow, give it a second shot. After a bunch of trial and error, I’m sure you’ll come up with something that will turn into a Best-Seller some day.

Good Luck! :-)
