    @victor1984 i can admit spain is the best team in the world along with usa, but in my opinion this time they didnt deserve it…many fouls were not given to us, most of them giving free throws.but its ok no big deal…our biggest problem now is the retirement of diamantidis.he is our best player and he will be a great miss.he is the best defender in europe

    @victor1984 It was not fair defeat friend even if Spain is better! In crutial moments the southAmerican Referee (the USA as ok)helped Spain!Spain also pushed FIBA to punish the Greek players after the friendly match with Serbia! Noone other coutry has done that!

    Ποτε αλλωστε δεν παιζαμε καλα απεναντι σε ζωνη. Οι αντιπαλοι προπονητες το ξερουν και χρησιμοποιουσαν συνεχεια ζωνη οχι βεβαια μονο απεναντι σε εμας. Η ζωνη αλλωστε μπορει να καταστρεψει και τον καλυτερο αντιπαλο, οπως καναμε και εμεις με τους Αμερικανους στην Ιαπωνια. Δεν ριχνω ευθυνες στον Καζλαουσκας γιατι και εμενα μου αρεσει το επιθετικο μπασκετ αλλα οταν ξερεις οτι εχεις επιθετικο προβλημα πρεπει να παιζεις αμυνα που σπαει κοκκαλα με συνεχεις αλλαγες στα Gard για να βγαλουν τον αγωνα.

    …Συνεχιζοντας λοιπον ανελαβε ο Καζλαουσκας που ως Λιθουανος προσπαθησε να περασει μια διαφορετικη φιλοσοφια πιο επιθετικογενη ξεχνωντας την πιεστικη αμυνα που εκανε τους Κινεζους για παραδειγμα στο μουντομπασκετ της Ιαπωνιας να μην μπορουν να περασουν τη σεντρα (θυμαστε?)…
    Η εθνικη λοιπον τρωγοντας καλαθια απο τη χαλαρη αμυνα της εχασε αρχικα τη δυνατοτητα του αιφνιδιασμου και των ευκολων καλαθιων αλλα το χειροτερο εδωσε το χρονο στις αντιπαλες αμυνες να οργανωσουν την ζωνη τους.

    Ακουστε τωρα για να ξερετε τι δεν πηγε καλα με την εθνικη φετος. Τοσα χρονια που ειχαμε επιτυχιες που στηριχτηκαμε? Στα τριποντα, στους σεντερ? ειχαμε καλαθομηχανη που λεγεται Γκαλης? Οχι τιποτα απο αυτα. Η φιλοσοφια της εθνικης ηταν η συνεχης πιεστικη αμυνα που εσπαγε κοκκαλα. Αυτη τη φιλοσοφια την περασε ο Ιωαννιδης (που ελεγε παιζουμε αμυνα, αμυνα,αμυνα και που και που βαζουμε και κανα καλαθι) αλλα την ολοκληρωσε με επιτυχια ο Γιαννακης.

    Με παίχτες που κατά καιρούς, μόνο μπάσκετ δεν παίζουν αλλά το μόνο που κάνουν είναι να φτύνουν αντιπάλους (σαν αδ***ές), να διαμαρτύρονται κ.α. τι περιμένεις? Καλό είναι οι Φώτσης και Διαμαντίδης ή να παίζουν μπάσκετ ή να μην ξαναπαίξουν στην Εθνική ομάδα.

I think it was a great game, in some moments Greece played very good and competed against Spain, but Spain showed what they are, and at the end we were better. I’ve been hearing, during 5 years in a row the same story about Spain didn’t deserve, referees, bla bla bla, excuses and cryings… Maaaan, get over it!!

    greek team gave a great performance in this game, its bad that they couldnt keep it together in the last quarter :-( but spain as well showed their quality and will to defend their crown, we have to admit that.

    All in all, the loss to Turkey took as to a difficult path; the way the team played against spain, showed that we deserved a much better rank in this tournament.
