the bottom line is you gotta have a lean body. if you have 15% body fat it aint gonna happen. but body fat can work for you. over time you will jump higher as you lose weight. there will be less lard to go airborne

This is silly. You can either jump or you can’t. You can lift to get stronger n lighter, so jumping is easier and maybe you can add a few inches to the vertical. But not everybody is made the same, and that means not everybody is made to jump.
